This film came to me entirely finished. However, its previous music clearance team had dropped the ball entirely and left a disorganized minefield of paperwork and half-finished clearances. Some of the clearances had been negotiated with their right-holders, and other rights-holders had never been contacted. My task was to make sure everything that needed to be licensed got licensed, and it required a jigsaw puzzle’s worth of patience and detail work.
